Dolls from French Fairy Tales

Charles Perrault's classic fairy tales were first published in 1697.  Many, such as Little Red Riding Hood, were later collected by the Brothers Grimm.  Madam Jeanne-Marie LePrince de Beaumont first wrote down Beauty and the Beast in the late 18th century.  Mother Goose is said to date back even further.  All of their stories have endured, becoming an essential part of childhood and adult fantasy.  Our storybook dolls tell their stories again.  Most are reversible, showing more than one character at a time.  So click on the photos below to watch Beauty turn over to reveal the prince, Puss in Boots show his loyal human, and even Mother Goose astride her famous steed.  All of our dolls are characters out of stories, immigrants from the books that Keats called "Realms of Gold."  I hope that you enjoy both the dolls, and their stories, and perhaps decide to take a few home with you.

Most of our dolls are reversible.  If you see two or more characters in a photo, that means there are two or more characters in one doll.
